SUMMARY OF SERVICES

Monitoring of truck and rail arrivals, both locally and overborder, and directing of trucks to correct stores.

Assistance in resolving discrepancies identified by the store on truck arrival, relating to quantities, correct markings, packaging, barcodes, etc.

Daily physical spot check on all visible consignments, checking for general condition of pallets, new damages and unnecessary handling by third parties.

Daily technical spot checks on visible consignments relating to quality of fruit, specifically with regards to colour and sizing. Recommendations are given for either repacking or sending of fruit to local market (Both options can be arranged by OFL).

Advise on best method and route of shipping (Freight rates can be negotiated by OFL).

Booking and management of shipments, to all markets, inclusive of online shipment tracking and management service for clients. Shipments are updated daily with amendments, vessel changes, stack dates, etd's and eta's.

Attendance of all vessel pre-plan meetings on behalf of clients.

Monitoring that stock moves on FIFO basis.

Arranging of transport between stores, when necessary.

Processing of Customs & Portnet clearances, EU/UK GSP FormA's included.

Overborder Customs clearance service.

Arranging of loading of shipments for containers or breakbulk.

Ensuring that client's Loading Instructions marry with booking and haulage instructions, specifically with regards to temperature requirements.

Monitoring that trucks carrying pallets from stores to quayside for breakbulk export are correctly tarpaulined during transit and that fruit is only moved when required by the Loading Terminals, thereby avoiding delays in the cold chain process.

Random checks on the quality of the pallets and TM (Target Market) stickers are done again at the quayside before loading into breakbulk vessels.

Consignments are accompanied onboard the vessels and stowage observed to monitor delays of fruit out of the cold chain.

Damages or delays noticed at any time, particularly during loading, is verified by use of a digital camera and third parties placed on notice of possible claims.

Assistance offered in reconciling discrepancies in mates receipts.

Particular emphasis is placed on Japan consignments, stocks of which are monitored daily and reported back to clients.

Present during most SAPQ & JPQ inspections so as to report on rejections immediately so that decisions can be made to allocate fruit to alternate markets while vessels are in port.

Processing of all shipping documentation, being Certificates of Conformity (Export Inspection Certificates), Phytosanitary Certificates, Certificates of Origin & Bills of Lading.

Special emphasis is placed on Japan Phytosanitary Certificates to ensure that theses are done as required and within the time-frames dictated by the SAPQ & NDA.

Special focus on L/C shipments, Steri Shipments, and shipments with very short transit times.

Speedy couriering of shipping documents - maximum 5 working days of vessel etd.

Daily tracking of all courier parcels to monitor delays.

Comprehensive Reporting per Vessel or Shipment.

General Weekly Reporting highlighting problems or issues that require clients' attention.

Confidentiality per client respected.
